The serendipitous combination of soft serve ice cream and flavored
ice — better known as gelati to millions of frozen dessert fans — has
farrived in grocery stores with the launch of Turkey Hill Dairy’s
Duetto. The product is available in four flavors and features vanilla
soft serve ice cream swirled with the Dairy’s signature cherry, lemon,
raspberry or mango Venice ice.
The new Spirited Herb Blends will all include Celtic Sea Salt Brand
Salt as an ingredient. The Celery Blend is a combination of aromatic
seasonings that coaxes out the natural flavors in roasted or grilled
cuts of beef and pork, but is also great in soups, salad dressings and
dips.
The Spanish Conquistadores arriving in America in the first few decades
of 1500 learned from the Guarani Indians about the bitter and at the
same time delicious taste of an exotic drink prepared with the
fragmented leaves of yerba-maté, Ilex paraguariensis, which was served
in a small gourd with a reed straw.
