Natural rosemary solution extends prawn shelf life

Vitiva introduced a new natural solution for extended shelf-life of prawns. AquaROX 10, a new allergen-free and GMO-Free rosemary formulation, was shown to be a significantly effective protection for preserving fresh and frozen prawns.

Seafood is very sensitive to oxidation and cannot be kept fresh for a long time if it is only refrigerated. Due to its unique composition it is exposed to oxidative degradation, which results in unpleasant taste, odor, change in color as well as microbiological changes.


Seafood processors are looking for various methods for extending shelf-life including among others refrigeration, freezing and pre-prepared thermal processing (deep frying and freezing) to keep the good taste while maintaining high sales.
